Our Veterinarians

Dr. Jose Lucena
Dr. Jose Lucena

Veterinarian

Dr. Jose Lucena has enjoyed being a globetrotter in the veterinary profession. He began his career in Spain, followed by a 5-year stay in the UK, working in England and Scotland. Dr. Lucena’s next move was to the States where he worked three years at the University of Pennsylvania, Department of Radiology, VHUP, before joining Willow Creek in 2006. Dr. Lucena holds a certificate in physical therapy and a master’s in stem-cell therapy. In his free time, Dr. Lucena is pursuing a degree in fine arts painting and photography. He also enjoys traveling and cooking.

Dr. Jamie Moran
Dr. Jamie Moran

Veterinarian

Dr. Jamie Moran received her veterinary degree from Cornell University. She specializes in holistic medicine, especially traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, and is certified in acupuncture and has completed course work in food therapy and herbal therapy. Her outside interests include gardening, playing the violin, swimming, sewing, and knitting. She shares her home with her husband, children, dogs, cats, and one fish.

Dr. Julie Staver
Dr. Julie Staver

Veterinarian

Dr. Julie Staver has been with Willow Creek since 1985, practicing mixed animal veterinary medicine for six years before concentrating solely on small animal medicine. Dr. Staver received her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania in 1982. She is married with one daughter and also cares for three cats, a small flock of chickens, and a flock of Dorset sheep. Dr. Staver is an avid gardener as well.

Kiki Mullikin, DVM
Dr. Kiki Mullikin

Veterinarian

Dr. Mullikin grew up in Pottstown showing Airedale terriers and taking care of her neighbor’s horses. She completed her undergraduate degree in Veterinary Sciences at the Pennsylvania State University. In her spare time, she competed with the club track team, served as a resident assistant, and worked in a research lab studying T-cell immunity. She then went to Cornell University to earn her DVM in 2019. During her time at Cornell, she worked as a technician in the Equine and Farm Animal Hospital and coordinated student employees for the New York State Veterinary Conference.

Dr. Mullikin spent the past two years working at a mixed animal practice in western Pennsylvania. There, she developed her interests in equine dentistry and internal medicine, as well as small ruminant parasitology and canine reproduction. She is excited to be returning to Berks County to serve the people and animals at Willow Creek Veterinary Services. In her free time, Dr. Mullikin enjoys hiking with her two Airedales, Ghrelin and Gozer, running, and skiing.

Dr. Corinne Bricker
Dr. Corinne Bricker

Veterinarian

Dr. Corinne Bricker was born and raised in Pottsville. She attended Delaware Valley University and received her bachelor’s degree in animal science. She then attended vet school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and graduated in fall 2022. She completed her clinical studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. She then moved to upstate New York and practiced mixed animal medicine for a year.

Dr. Bricker recently moved back to the area to be closer to her friends and family. In her free time, she loves going on walks with her Caribbean dog, Huckleberry, playing games, and shopping. Dr. Bricker is very happy to be back in Pennsylvania and give back to her community. She looks forward to meeting you and your precious pets!

Cassandra Rice
Dr. Cassandra Rice

Veterinarian

Dr. Rice grew up on a dairy farm in Minnesota. She attended South Dakota State University for her undergraduate studies majoring in Dairy Production and Animal Science. She attended veterinary school at Iowa State University, graduating in 2018.

After graduation, Dr. Rice practiced mixed animal medicine in Wisconsin where she worked with many different species including cattle, horses, dogs, cats, sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas, pigs, and buffalo. She developed a special interest in small ruminant (sheep, goat, camelid) medicine and hopes to bring this to WCVC in 2025! Other interests include dermatology, client education, and ultrasound.
